Saving the Taxpayers Money

The taxpayers saved a lot of money yesterday morning. The cost of the gender reassignment surgery would have been enormous. The surgery could cost $125,000 to $140,000 per person, but the big costs would come from the lifetime of treatment needed because of the surgery.

I was the only one to speak on behalf of the taxpayer, and the costs that it would saddle us with for what many consider a cosmetic procedure. No other candidate, (for any office) or incumbent councilperson, spoke up for the taxpayer. There were two or three council people that spoke for it, but I was the only one in the race that spoke up for you, the taxpayer.

I fought to keep our taxes low yesterday, and I will fight to keep our taxes low today and would do the same as a councilperson.
