A PLAN FOR THE HOMELESS

Metro's plan for the homeless talks about a goal of decreasing the homelessness population by 25% in the three years from 2019-2022. Drop the covid year (2020) and we are at the 3-year mark. How is the plan working? I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem like the homeless population has shrunk by 25%.

If there is an area that is holding up the progress, let's address it and work to get back on track.

I have reached out to Erin Evans and April Calvin about the progress of the Homeless Planning Council's Strategic Plan and will give an update when I get a response.

I want to be on the HPC as a council member. Progress needs to be noticeable. I have a plan. It's different than Metro's current plan. It is based on Houston's approach. They are seeing results. We can, too.
